おじいの孫がさ「これって何で注目されてるの？僕もNVIDIAの株っていうものを買っていれば、お金持ちになれたの？」って聞いてきたから、孫との会話形式でお伝えするよ～！

孫👦：ねぇおじいちゃん、エヌビディア（NVIDIA）ってどんな会社なの？

エヌビディアっていうのは、コンピューターの「GPU（ジーピーユー）」っていう頭脳みたいな部品を作ってる会社なわけ。
GPUは、ゲームの映像をきれいにしたり、AI（人工知能）を動かしたりするために欠かせないチップなんだよ〜。

例えば、AI孫👦がYouTubeを見てるとき、「おすすめの動画」が表示されるよね？
あれも、エヌビディアのGPUを使ったAIが「この動画が合いそうだよ〜」って考えて決めてるさ〜。
最近は、AIの進化がすごくて、それを動かすのにエヌビディアのGPUが大活躍してるわけさ〜。

孫👦：なんでエヌビディアの売上が爆増したの？

理由は簡単さ〜！AIが大流行しているからなわけ！
AIを動かすには、めちゃくちゃパワフルなGPUが必要で、そのGPUを作ってるエヌビディアが大儲けしてるさ〜。

特に、「データセンター向け」の売上がすごいことになってるさ〜。
データセンターっていうのは、インターネットのデータを管理する超巨大なコンピューターの集まりのことさ〜。
エヌビディアのデータセンター向けGPUの売上は、去年と比べて93%アップ！

孫👦：それってどのくらい凄いことなの？

これをわかりやすく言うと、野球のバッターが去年ホームランを30本打っていたのに、今年は60本打ったみたいな感じさ〜！
普通、大企業の成長率は10%〜20%増でも「すごい！」って言われるのに、エヌビディアはたった1年で売上が2倍以上になったなわけ！
これはもう、異常レベルの成長なわけさ〜。

孫👦：僕が昨年の2月にエヌビディアの株を100株買っていたらお金持ちになれたの？

さて、もし昨年の2月にエヌビディアの株を100株買っていたら、今どうなっているか気になるよね〜。
昨年の2月、エヌビディアの株価は約60ドルだったさ〜。
それが今では約131ドルになっているから、1株あたり71ドルの値上がりなわけ！

100株持っていたら、71ドル × 100株 = 7,100ドルの利益になるさ〜。
日本円にすると、約94万円の儲けになるわけ（1ドル＝133円で計算）。
これはすごいことだね〜！
昨年買っていたらお金持ちだったかもしれないねぇ！

市場の専門家たちは、「エヌビディアのAIチップはこれからもっと売れる！」って予想してるさ〜。
中には「2030年までに株価が5000ドル、さらに8000ドルまで上がるかも！」って言ってる人もいるわけさ〜。

でもね、未来は何が起こるかわからないさ〜。
たとえば、他の企業がもっとすごいAIチップを作ったらどうなる？
また、AIのブームが終わってしまったら？
そうなったら、エヌビディアの成長も止まるかもしれないさ〜。
